'May 16th' یازدهمین ترک از پنجمین آلبوم کامل Lagwagon با عنوان Let’s Talk About Feelings است که در سال ۱۹۹۸ منتشر شد و به عنوان یکی از تاثیرگذارترین آلبومهای پانک راک دهه ۹۰ شناخته میشود. این آهنگ احتمالاً محبوبترین ترک Lagwagon است و حتی در موسیقی متن بازی Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 نیز حضور داشته است. در مصاحبهای، خواننده و ترانهسرای اصلی Lagwagon، Joey Cape، بیان کرده است که این آهنگ درباره احساسی است که او از دعوت نشدن به مراسم عروسی یکی از نزدیکترین دوستانش داشته است.
